What a blessing it is to wake up, to pray to study the word, to gym with your husband, to take your kids at 5am 🙃😝 to move and be alive! This is my new norm and I thank God for it everyday! And a mama this wasn’t always the case and as much as I miss having little babies and being at at these times but for different reasons I’m also happy to be where I am 🫶🏽

Everyone loves to post the “glowy” hospital photos!! but nobody wants to talk about the absolute WRECKAGE of the days that follow.

The swelling that makes your own skin feel tight, the jagged pain every time you move, and the sheer mental drain of trying to recover while your older kids still need a mother who isn’t “broken.” Society expects us to just snap bacK but the reality it is a lot more RAW and a lot less pretty.

The swelling that makes your own skin feel tight, the jagged pain every time you move, and the sheer mental drain of trying to recover while your older kids still need a mother who isn’t “broken.” Society expects us to just snap bacK but the reality it is a lot more RAW and a lot less pretty.

I’m tired of seeing mamas go into this blind. This time around, I stopped waiting for someone to tell me what I needed and built it myself. I’ve put together a postpartum essentials box with the actual “must haves” for your hospital bag that go beyond just nursing pads and cute pajamas!

These contractions help reduce bleeding and support healing, but they can feel quite intense especially in the first few days after birth or while breastfeeding (thanks to the hormone oxytocin doing its job).
